The Greene County boys bowling team faced their first loss of the season Dec. 18 while falling by 314 points to Gilbert, with the girls suffering a similar fate.
The Rams will bowl again on Monday, Jan. 8, in Waukee.
Gilbert traveled to bowl at Spare Lanes in Jefferson, and with the boys’ team having an undefeated record, someone had to walk away with their first loss and as fate had it, the Rams were the team to take the loss.
The Rams varsity boys lost by 314 points with the JV team falling by 169 points. For the varsity bowlers, Lane Fields rolled the top score, finishing with 366 points while Carter Fecher bowled for a total of 362 and Trystan Cummings 351. Jack Hansen was the top bowler on the JV team finishing with 349 points, Jace Wilson with 332 and Nick Stream with 288.

The girls lost by 566 points. Sofie Johansen had the high score of the night for the Rams with 234 points. Allison Fields finished with 222 points and Ava Schilling had 210.
